Jarrell Texas is a small rapidly growing rural suburban community located north of Georgetown. Founded in 1869 by real estate developer O.D. Jarrell, the town was settled at the intersection of an old stagecoach road and the Bartlett and Western Railway that was under construction. The city reached a population peak of 500 residents in 1914, but quickly fell to 200 when the railroad closed. As Williamson County has grown and home prices have surged, the population grew from 400 in 1990 to over 2,000 in 2020.
