Liberty Hill Texas was founded in the 1840’s. It soon became a stop for the military stage coach line. Many of these historical buildings are preserved at Fort Tumbleweed. Liberty Hill provides a unique location between famous outdoor attractions and the entertainment provided in nearby Cedar Park. Inks Lake, Longhorn Cavern, Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge and many Central Texas swimming, fishing, and hunting opportunities are within short driving distance.
Liberty Hill has had one of the lowest crime rates for cities of its size in the state, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety’s annual Crime in Texas Report.
