Appletini or Apple Martini

Ketel One Vodka & Stirrings’ Appletini Mix

Ketel One Vodka is distilled from 100% wheat and made at the Nolet Distillery in the Netherlands. It is distilled in copper pot stills, filtered over loose charcoal, and rests in tile lined tanks until ready. The Nolet Distillery has been in the production of alcohol for 11 generations.

Our version of the Apple Martini
This popular martini may have help save the Martini! The ladies love the sweetness, guys like the bite. Adjust the Starlings’ Appletini Mix to taste and keep it really cold. It’s best to chill both the Ketel One Vodka and the Mix. Add ½ oz. Fresh apple cider if available to make a Dirty Appletini

2 oz. Ketel One Vodka
½ oz. – 1 oz. Stirrings’ Appletini Mix

Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a slice of Granny Smith Apple.

Lo Duca White Labrusco

Made in the classic tradition, this is a clear brilliant wine with punctuated balance. Soft, off-dry white wine that explodes with an effervescence sensation in your mouth and finishes with a smooth aftertaste of the indigenous grape varieties used in its production. Slightly carbonated, it is enclosed in a champagne cork and wire basket to enhance its presentation. Superb as a cocktail wine or universal accompaniment to all foods

And here are a few recipes to try using Three Olive Orange Flavored Vodka:

Orange Creamsicle

1 oz. Three-O Orange Vodka
1 oz. White Crème de Cacao
Splash lemon-lime soda
Shake with ice and strain into a chilled shot glass.
Serve with a lemon wedge.

O-mazing

3 oz. Three-O Orange Vodka
3/4 oz. orange juice
3/4 oz. lime juice
Shake with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with an orange twist

Last night Anne and I went to the Wine Tasting event at Moon Dance Wine & Spirits and got the chance to taste three red wines, Serenity Syrah, Stag’s Leap Petit Syrah and Diablita Zinfandel. Anne really liked the Serinity Syrah the best, but my favorite was the Diablita Zinfandel. The Oak undertones of the Diablita reminded me of my favorite Scotch, Macallen 12.
