Image Gallery – Kathryn Paige
Kathryn grew up in a small town in Texas in the 1970’s. Prior to becoming a fulltime artist she was a successful hair designer in Dallas Texas for 20 years. Kathryn’s passion for the arts guided her on adventure of a lifetime.
In 2006, she left the hair industry to reside in a RV and travel extensively for three years to build her portfolio. She has traveled through 38 states including 6 international destinations with camera in hand. Kathryn also flew in an ultra light and glider plane to capture her aerial shots. Her adventures were many; her photographic eye captured beautiful landscapes, wildlife, architectural and abstract photographs.
In her “Nature vs. Nurture Series” and “Door Series” she exploits a side of nature that many may simply under appreciate. In these two particular series, she captures the metamorphic state of nature and mans unclaimed inanimate objects.
She settled in Austin Texas in 2008 to exhibit her photography. In a short time, she has exhibited in such venues as the Studio 2 Gallery, Austin Art Space Gallery, E.A.S.T Austin Studio Tour, Scarborough Building, and The Texas State Capitol Building to name a few.
Kathryn has won a Merit Award for her piece “Nature Takes over” in a juried gallery show and two People’s Choice Awards for her pieces entitled “Hop Scotch” and “Invisa Wheel” in a juried International art show.
Kathryn has been published as the lead photographer in Origin Magazine as well. Her photography is delicately edited, if at all, as she prefers to leave them in a more “natural” state.
Many have expressed her photographs to look more like paintings; “you want to reach out and touch the texture.” It is evident that her eye can find beauty in everything…even in decay.

One Way Baptist Church
OWBC Church History
During the month of February 1996, God called His servant Bernard Buhl
to establish a church in Round Rock. With these instructions and a
faith sure to please God, March 1996 marks the dawn of the One Way
Baptist Church (OWBC).
The impact of OWBC on the community was evident in the steady growth
of her membership. Individuals and families have traveled from the
Austin, Georgetown, Cedar Park, Leander, Hutto and Round Rock, to be a
part of this growing body.
By prioritizing God and diligently seeking Him in all that we do,
“The Lord gives grace and glory; no good thing does He withhold from
those who walk uprightly” (Ps. 84:11). OWBC continues to grow,
spiritually and numerically to make a difference for the glory of God.
As we continue to trust God by faith to do even greater work for His
glory, it is imperative that we expand our efforts in fulfilling the
vision of our church.

Amanda Cobb – Freelance Graphic Designer
I am a solo freelance designer who provides a wide range of design services (both print and web). My degree is in Graphic Design (BFA, Magna Cum Laude), and I used to work at a design agency before starting my own freelance business, so I have both formal education and actual agency experience behind me. I have both Mac and PC platforms to work from, and am quite comfortable with both. My preferred programs are Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Dreamweaver from the Adobe Creative Suite 3, though I am proficient in others as well. As a freelancer, my hours are flexible, so I am nearly always available via phone or email – communication is not a problem. I believe (and have been told) that I have a good sense of humor and am easy to deal with. I prefer to work on a project-fee basis rather than hourly.

My style has been called many things. Refined. Professional. Uncluttered. Elegant. Simple in the best of ways. My favorite description to date is “sophisticated, but with an edge.” I think that sums it up very well. Anything more specific would change from project to project. If the project allows or calls for it, I have also been known to be a bit quirky and/or funky.

Sweet Home Baptist Church
From the rural farming town of Sprinkle, Texas, just nine miles northeast of Austin, the Reverend S. W. Wormley traveled to Round Rock to become the first pastor of the second black Baptist church. Upon arriving in the city named for the large anvil-shaped limestone rock in Brushy Creek, he met with a committee of area religious leaders: the Rev. L. L. Campbell, Moderator; Rev. Sam Clark, Vice Moderator; Rev. Archie Shackles, and Deacon Davis of Taylor. That was January 8, 1905.
These leaders led twenty-two enthusiastic Christians, former members of the Good Hope Baptist Church to organize. At her conception, Bro. Mitchell Mays donated the land and befittingly named this new assembly, Sweet Home Baptist Church. This “sweet” haven securely bound the members in unity to support their spiritual, educational, social, political and cultural needs. Sweet Home’s wealth of “all things common” was and remains a testimony of God’s grace, mercy and provision.
