In planning Forest Creek Eye Center, our mission was simple. Our goal was to give our patients the feeling that they were sitting in their own living room, to create an atmosphere reminiscent of the Texas Hill Country and to provide unequaled eye care.

Our focus is Eye Care. Our service includes providing comprehensive vision and eye health exams, the detailed testing and treatment of eye disease, and all inclusive contact lens evaluations and fittings.

Hello! We are Round Rock and Austin’s premier dry cleaning and laundry source. Since 1986, we’ve provided Austin and the surrounding area superior service, options, and results. From Round Rock to the Y in Oak Hill, you’ll find a location near you.

There’s a Salsa Cook-Off this Saturday, July 3rd at Round Rock Gardens.  Prizes will be given for the best salsa recipes!

Put those tomatoes and herbs and even fruit to work to create your very best salsa.  Entries must be submitted between 9am and Noon on Saturday, July 3rd.  All entries will be refrigerated.  You will need to provide at least one cup to judge.  You may only enter homemade salsas.  And there’s no need to bring chips.  Winners will be announced at 1:30pm in the store.  You do not need to be present to win.

The City of Round Rock will hold a public meeting this evening from 4-7pm to present the proposed update to its Comprehensive Transportation Master Plan.  The public will have a chance to ask questions and comment on the draft plan at the meeting.  The meeting will be held at the McConico Building at 301 W Bagdad, Avenue, Round Rock, TX 78664.

The new HomeField Grill in Round Rock is open to the public beginning today.  The official Grand Opening is Thursday, July 1, but they are now officially open.

We had the pleasure of attending their Mock Dinner Service last night and I was very impressed with the concept overall.  Anne and I attended with a family friend and had the opportunity to try several dishes.

When we were finished with dinner Cheyne Maclaskey, Director of Fun (don’t you just love that title?), took us on a tour and told us all about their new concept.

HomeField Grill is a huge restaurant.  With over 12,000 square feet it is the biggest restaurant in Williamson County.  The restaurant seats 399 people and has a large game room for kids of all ages.

For meetings and business lunches they have two rooms set up that seat approximately 35 people each.  One is semi-private and sits right in the middle of the restaurant.  The other is more secluded and can be completely closed off for private meetings and presentations.

They also have a large bar area with all of the major beers of Texas on tap.  One thing Cheyne pointed out is that this is a Sports-Themed Restaurant, not a sports bar, as you can tell from the pictures below.  They do have flat-screen TVs throughout and will soon have special speaker systems installed at each table so you can listen into the show of your choice.

They had some fantastic deserts on the menu but you don’t want to miss out on the Blue Bell Ice Cream right next door at Yummy’s, which is owned by the same people.
