Update: Due to rain, the Round Rock Rotary Reindeer Run was rescheduled for Sunday, December 11, 2011.

The Rotary Club of Round Rock Sunrise and the Round Rock Parks and Recreation present the second annual Reindeer Run, a 5K timed run and family fun run to raise funds for building a Play for All Abilities Park in Round Rock for children with cognitive or physical challenges.

The Play for All Abilities Park is currently under contruction at Rabb Park.

The 2011 Reindeer Run is from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 11 at Old Settlers Park.

The cost for adults is $25 per participant and includes a t-shirt, Youth (11-17) are $20 including a t-shirt, Kids (2-10) are FREE with parent or guardian; no shirt and no registration required.

6:15pm – 5k Family 5k Fun Run at dusk

I stopped by Lammes Candies today, an Austin original, and they are definitely ready for Christmas. They have the most delectable selection of chocolates, pralines, taffies and toffee. They even have a selection of sugar-free treats.

In addition to the sweets they have a nice selection of gift baskets, candy bowls, Texas Longhorn gifts and stocking stuffers. With prices ranging from about $.70 for a single truffle to $60 for a complete gift basket, you are sure to find something sweet for everyone on your list.
